Scott Krumwiede, Executive Recruiter at Ambrion, was inspired to pursue a career in recruiting based on his first job search after college. Scott recalls, “I remember sending my resume out to a number of companies and not hearing anything in return. I had a degree, but I didn’t have the experience. After a while, I connected with a recruiter who helped me secure my first professional job, and that process sparked my interest in recruiting.” He says, “It was a confidence booster to have someone in my corner rooting for me.”

 

Because of his own personal experience, it should be no surprise that Scott’s approach to recruiting means it’s more than just a job to him. Scott says, “It’s not about pushing someone else’s objective; it’s about listening to each person’s story and then working to add value in their search for a new role,” he explains, “Transitioning into a new job isn’t always easy, but when you work with a recruiter that truly cares about your success, the process becomes less scary.”

 

He explains what led him to call Ambrion home. “When you work for a company whose culture and mission statement resonates with your beliefs, it becomes more than just a job. The Ambrion team is supportive, competitive and authentic,” he says, “A strong team becomes a 2nd family over time, and it was evident to me that this was a special place.”

 

Scott has many stories from his successful recruiting career. Here’s one situation he has been fortunate to experience, “I’ve encountered a couple of scenarios in my career where I’ve identified two ideal candidates for a role where the hiring manager couldn’t make a decision, so they ended up hiring both people,” Scott recalls, “In each scenario, one candidate fulfilled an immediate hiring need, and the other fulfilled a role where the hiring manager was going to eventually need someone but didn’t want to lose the other person due to timing.”

 

He believes that at the core of what he does, recruiting is about relationship building. Scott says, “I find fulfillment in helping others navigate their way through a significant life-changing event,” he continues, “Recruiting is a rewarding career that has introduced me to so many great people.”
