GET TO KNOW Sara

Sara Kendrick, Senior Executive Recruiter, has been with Ambrion for over thirteen years, and in the industry for over sixteen. She has earned the trust and partnership of clients by delivering the best of the best, and understanding the impact a single hire can have within an organization. She gets fueled by very difficult searches and uses her perseverance to find that one-in-a-million candidate.

When she was invited to interview at Ambrion, she could see something the team at Ambrion had that’s missing in a lot of organizations. “I joined Ambrion because of the people I would be working with. I could see they worked as a team, were supportive, yet competitive. I felt like I would be a valued member of the organization. I could tell they took pride in their company,” she says.

She prides herself on her honesty and transparency, two of Ambrion’s core values, that she shows to both her clients and candidates. She looks at her role as a Senior Executive Recruiter as being a strategic partner to business leaders by identifying extraordinary talent for their teams, not just someone who is there to fill a job. “There have been several instances where I presented a candidate when the hiring manager didn’t even have an open position, but they created a role based on the unique experience the candidate was bringing to the table,” she says.

With over sixteen years of recruiting experience, she has a catalogue to choose from for her most memorable or favorite recruiting story. Here is one she recalls for its difficulty, and its impact for one of her longest standing clients. “One of my favorite placements was for a large client of mine. They had a very specific, hard to find candidate in mind that they were hoping to hire for a newly created position. I presented a candidate who did not line up with their original expectations, but I knew this candidate was exceptional. I pushed them to interview him, and they ended up hiring him.  He turned out to be so valuable to the finance organization, that he ended up being the right-hand person to the CFO on a large M&A transaction,” she recalls.
